Jack Zeiger (He/Him)
Jack first got the bug for saving fossil fuels during his senior year in high school during the 1973-74 oil crisis, long before he or most of us had heard about global warming or climate disruption. He has since worked most of his career trying to save energy and fight climate change. He recently retired from his position at Tacoma Power as an Energy Efficiency Engineer, working with commercial and industrial customers helping them save energy. There he served on the Steering Committee for the Regional Emerging Technologies Advisory Council for the Pacific Northwest. Before that, Jack worked at the WSU Energy Program researching energy efficiency, focusing on new and emerging technologies. He is a licensed Mechanical Engineer and a Certified Energy Manager. Locally he has been very active in the Climate Change community and was a co-founder and leader of Olympia Climate Action from 2007 to 2013. In his spare time, Jack hikes, plays racquetball, does contra dancing, and can often be seen riding his recumbent bike around town doing errands.
