Rapid and Just Climate Action: An
Emergency Declaration and Principles for Organizing

It is time to transition together, now. The necessary challenge is to stop global warming within 10-years. The time has come to move from intention to impact. Social justice practice needs to be applied to climate action, and our movement needs to be connected (while being security conscious).

Derek Hoshiko will challenge us to continually examine what individual and collective unproductive or counterproductive behaviors we are going to stop doing in order to make space for the effective actions we all need. And, we will not let perfect be the enemy of the good, but we also won’t let a false sense of urgency be the enemy of truly being or doing good. The bottom line is: How might we learn from the lessons of the past, and how might we organize to stop global warming within 10-years?
