Video Series About Sea Level Rise Flooding in Olympia

Are you concerned about Sea Level Rise in Olympia, and Thurston County at large? Did you see the flooding of Capitol Lake this January? The City of Olympia recently published a new tool created by local Visual Storyteller, Bill Lange, to help residents and get a deeper understanding of Sea Level Rise locally. The Olympia Sea Level Rise Collaborative partnered with Lange to create a video series about Olympia’s sea level rise response efforts.

Sea Level Rise Flooding is a multi-part video series that illustrates how different local government agencies can come together to develop and implement an adaptation plan for sea level rise flooding due to climate change. The short videos are intended to inform the public about sea level rise/climate change, the impacts to downtown Olympia and how we as a community are adapting and responding.

The recently published link to the online series can be found here: Sea Level Rise (City of Olympia) (upper right hand corner of web page). The Sea Level Rise Collaborative is made up of the City of Olympia, LOTT Clean Water Alliance, and the  Port of Olympia, it’s purpose is to collaboratively implement the Olympia Sea Level Rise Response Plan.
