Understanding Washington’s climate policies

Short webinars Nov. 3 and 10 will explain the Climate Commitment Act, the Clean Fuel Standard and other state climate policies

OLYMPIA – Climate change threatens Washington’s coastlines and forests, our farms and our fish, our economy and our communities. To address this threat, Washington State is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the years ahead. Major new policies like the Climate Commitment Act and the Clean Fuel Standard will lead our state’s efforts to cut carbon pollution and move toward a cleaner economy.

If you are curious how these policies will work and how you can help to shape them, join the Washington Department of Ecology for an educational webinar, “Understanding Washington’s Climate Policies.”

The webinar will explain where our state’s greenhouse gas emissions come from, the limits on future emissions set in state law, the policies designed to help us get there – and the challenges still ahead.

Ecology is offering two sessions of the Understanding Washington’s Climate Policies webinar:

The confirmation email will contain the link to join the event. A reminder will be sent to all registrants the day before each session. The webinars will last about 30 minutes, and include a brief Q and A.
