Attend the Rally at 4:00 pm and then PSE’s Integrated Resource Plan Advisory Group Meeting at 5:00 pm to tell PSE what you think about fracked gas.
Puget Sound Energy is pushing fracked gas in WA. They’re building an 8 million gallon storage facility in Tacoma, WA without all the necessary permits and stark opposition from the Puyallup Tribe. They also continue to make plans to replace coal power with fracked gas despite the economic, environmental and human cost.
The Sierra Club, 350 Seattle, and other environmental groups are planning a rally at 4 pm, before PSE’s Integrated Resource Plan Advisory Group Meeting at 5:00 pm.
We had a number of great wins this legislative session, but we need to keep the pressure on PSE to ensure they are transparent and make progress to meet the requirements of the law – and we still need to ensure PSE actually retires Colstrip (not yet guaranteed) and stops their continuing efforts to build new gas facilities. To achieve this we need to pack this hearing.
Wear RED to show our unity against fracked gas.
