Sierra Club South Sound Meeting

March 13, 2019 - 5:30 PM
Mekong Restaurant
125 Columbia St NW, Olympia

Learn about education and outreach on climate change from the Climate Reality Project and the Nisqually River Education Project. Order food by 5:30 PM for meeting at 6 PM. More info at the Sierra Club South Sound site.

Climate Reality Project: We have experts right here in Thurston County who have received Al Gore’s training in the critical effects of climate change and what we all need to do now.  The Thurston County chapter will focus on their speaker bureau and the resources they can provide for groups, schools, churches, etc.

Nisqually River Education Project: Sheila Wilson is leading an effort to teach hundreds of children each year about the importance of nature, science and the environment. NREP provides science based field experiences for classroom teachers and students; volunteers are always needed.
