Residential and Community Solar – Sierra Club South Sound March Community Meeting in Olympia

You are invited to the monthly South Sound Sierra Club community meeting.
We meet in-person as well as online via Zoom on Wednesday, March 8th.
The program begins 6:00 PM and is open to the public.
Join us at the Mekong Thai Restaurant, 125 Columbia St NW, Olympia, WA 98501.
At your option, arrive early between 5:00 – 5:30 pm to order food and dine with us before the program begins.
This month our speaker will present the following topic:
Residential and Community Solar for Residents in the Puget Sound area
Speaker: Mason Rolph, President, Olympia Community Solar
Community Solar Projects — Mason will describe the latest community solar project at the Thurgood Marshall Middle School. Olympia Community Solar organizes a group of community members to purchase or donate subscriptions to fund large solar installations, like the Thurgood Marshall project in partnership with the Olympia School District. About Our Speaker — Mason Rolph serves as the President of Olympia Community Solar. Mason, a graduate of The Evergreen State College has co-authored publications with both the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the Smart Electric Power Association (SEPA). During his time operating Olympia Community Solar he has overseen more than two megawatts of new solar installations, enough to power more than 250 homes. He was elected to the Washington Solar Energy Industry Association Board of Directors in 2022.
