Save Mature Forests at the Elwha

With the ongoing logging of Aldwell, and other legacy forests in the Elwha valley going up for sale by the DNR this year, there is a need for us to rally and make some noise!

Please join us on Sunday March 5, 2023 from 12 pm – 2 pm, at the Elwha Observation Area (off Highway 101 at the bridge over the Elwha) near an active timber harvest site called “Aldwell.” All are welcome to join the rally sponsored by Center for Responsible Forestry, Earth Law Center, and the Olympic Forest Coalition. This is an event to raise awareness about the need to protect older forests in the Elwha River Watershed. We encourage you to carpool and bring handmade signs.
