Green The Church 2021 Virtual National Summit, October 10-13 — all are welcome!
We are honored to share that IPL’s Board Chair, Rev. Dr. Gerald L. Durley, an esteemed figure in both the Civil Rights and Ecological Justice movements, is serving as the Honorary Chair for the Summit.
This year’s theme, Green Lessons From Black Wall Street, focuses on a call to action for the Black Church to address the need for Infrastructure, Agriculture, Energy, and Equity, elements that protect health, build wealth, and bring resources back into our communities.
Green The Church serves at the intersection of the Black Church and the movement to connect Black churchgoers to the larger environmental movement, to the benefit of both local communities and the broader ecosystem. They work in collaboration with major environmental, sustainability, food security, faith, and community-based non-profit organizations and welcome everyone interested in learning about the Black Church and the Black experience, and everyone committed to “creation justice”—care and justice for God’s people and planet—and building the beloved community.
When you use this link to register, a portion of your registration fee will benefit Interfaith Power & Light!
IPL is proud to be a sponsor for the Summit and we hope to see you there.
