Citizens’ Climate Lobby Meeting
Saturday, April 10, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon

Watch national video-conference speaker, Rev. Franklin Ruff, a conservative who will talk about how to bridge differences and listen to each other to find common ground, at home at 10:00 am. Join the Olympia Chapter via Zoom at 10:45.

At a time when distrust and animosity between our political parties appears to be at an all-time high, we need to take a step back and find ways to work together so we can solve the big problems facing our nation. We hear this month from Rev. Franklin Ruff, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Stillwell, Kansas, and past president of American Baptist Churches of the Central Region. He is also the Red Co-Chair of the Braver Angels Kansas City Alliance. Rev. Ruff is a conservative who says, “One of the things we can do to make [our country] better is look and see the humanity of others and to be humble.” He’ll talk about how to bridge differences and listen to each other to find common ground.

Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization, laser focused on a specific piece of legislation and a proven strategy to gain its passage. We are working for the passage of the  Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, the climate change solution economists and climate scientists alike say is the “best first-step” to preventing the worst impacts of a warming world.

The Olympia Chapter meets the 2nd Saturday of each month. At each meeting, we listen to a national video-conference on our own, and then meet via zoom to discuss the teleconference and the activities of our Action Teams.
