November 30, 2019 - 3:00 pm

Ari Simmons talks with Barb Scavezze about the Thurston Climate Action Team and taking action to address the climate crisis. Includes 2 short videos from the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Also on YouTube.

Barb also talks about the book Low Carbon Diet, A 30 Day Program to Lose 5000 Pounds by David Gershon.

One of the AAAS videos is about the How We Respond project, which highlights how communities across the U.S are using science to respond to climate change. The second video is about ISeeChange, in which volunteers document climate related trends in their communities.

Change the Climate is an episodic series of 20 to 30-minute pre-recorded talk show format programs focusing on the challenge of climate change and the positive actions being taken to counter it by various individuals and groups in and around Thurston County, Washington.

Change the Climate is produced by Ed Ericsson from the Olympia Chapter of Citizens’ Climate Lobby (CCL). CCL advocates for the passage of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act.

The program informs and inspires viewers to understand and take up the challenge that comes with the earth’s changing atmospheric climate and join with CCL in the efforts being taken to influence those in positions of power to act.
