Greetings Sierra Club environmental advocate!

You are invited to the monthly South Sound Sierra Club community meeting on January 12th at 6:30 PM, a virtual meeting on Zoom.

We invite you to join the South Sound Group of local environmental activists exchanging information and ideas about local, state and national environmental issues.

Our monthly community meeting features program speakers, committee reports and an opportunity for attendees to share information from other like-minded groups.

This month our speaker will present the following topic:

State Legislature 2022 Bills & Priorities Update — Barbara Boyle, Chair, Legislative Committee, Sierra Club Washington State Chapter

The Legislative Committee defines the Sierra Club Washington State Chapter legislative priorities and coordinates the state Chapter involvement in the Washington state legislative process.

The committee directs the work of the Chapter lobbyist at the State Capitol, formulates policy for the Legislative session as adopted by the Executive and Conservation Committees, and informs membership about important issues. In addition, the committee maintains a legislative tracker for following the progress of key bills through the legislature.

Please join us for the latest news and discussion about policy priorities as the Washington State 2022 Legislative session begins.
