90-day Climate Action Teams Forming

By Stewart Henderson

If you agree that it’s time to start treating our climate emergency like a real emergency, you’ll be interested in the latest work of Rapid and Just Climate Action (RJCA).

RJCA 90-day action teams have launched in Seattle and on Whidbey Island, and will be launching on October 19 at the Joint Meeting: 90-Day Action Teams & Youth Education Communications Outreach Group, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

Action teams consist of 5-8 members focusing on specific, measurable and achievable climate action targets. The process minimizes in-person meetings (only 3) and maximizes results, and includes intensive support and resources to guarantee success.

Even better, all work performed will contribute to a single knowledge base which will inform the future work of subsequent teams.

We are present at the birth of the greatest experiment humans have ever undertaken: How quickly can we end our deadly dependence on fossil fuels?

2050 is a long ways away; let’s make sure we’re doing 100% of what’s possible here, now, in 2019.
